The Elder Scrolls Realms ~ Introduction

The year is 4E 12...

The Empire had entered into the Fourth Era after the Champion-of Cyrodiil-turned-Daedric-Prince, Sheogorath came to be. Since then, the Empire has fallen into some dark times. Ever since the fall of the pure-blooded Septim Dynasty, the Elder Council was forced to search for a new heir, worthy of such a position - but, this new heir had to be partially related to the Septim Dynasty, or he/she would not succeed as the figurehead of Tamriel. They took a risk; a member of the Blades, serving as a spy in High Rock was approached by a small Breton family. They were aware of the Blade's presence in Daggerfall, and they discussed their strange relation to the Imperial family... Their child, a Breton, was actually the half-sibling of Emperor Martin Septim, and the last, remaining child by blood of Emperor Uriel Septim VII.

Since this Breton-born sovereign has taken the throne, the Empire has had... Several conflicting thoughts. For most of Mankind, they find it strange that a half-blood is to take the throne, and for most Merkind, they have divided opinions. The Beastfolk, who were never really closely involved with the Imperial family are often nonchalant about the situation. Either way, there is talk of revolution everywhere, and the Blades and other associates of the heart of the Empire are at their best - readying themselves for war.
