Biography
Mai was born in Balmora in Vvardenfell. Her parents, who were both in the fighters guild, died on a mission when she was 5. So the fighters guild accepted her as a full on member and took care of her. She stayed at the fighters guild until she was 18. By then she had become well respected in balmora for her strength in fighting and her beauty. Which allowed her to tame most bandits that attacked people as well as the raving drunks down at local bars. But considering she had no real parents and she didn't feel the fighters guild as her true family, it was a time of very loose morals for her. She'd drink, flirt, and eventually sleep with almost anyone she felt like sleeping with. Her fellow members at the fighters guild really didn't like this fact but couldn't do anything to stop her. When the whole guild sat her down to try and help her she quickly got angry, yelled a few choice word and stormed out of the fighters guild yelling 'I Quit'. It was not long after that until a member of the dark brotherhood approached her. They recruited her because her loose morals would mean that she wouldn't hesitate to get the job done and extended an invitation to their family. Over the next 4 years she quickly climbed through the ranks of the dark brotherhood. Mostly taking male targets which she would seduce, and sleep with before killing them. But one day a member betrayed the dark brotherhood. A close friend of Mai's named Milo. He had given the location of one of the dark brotherhood bases to the morag tong. He was dealt with quickly. They gruesomely killed him and tore is body to pieces. Taken back by the display she couldn't take it anymore and left the brotherhood. Knowing that she would be hunted down she took refuge in the thieves guild. They heard her story and agreed to help train her and hide her from the brotherhood. But Mai had another reason to join the thieves guild. The first was to help repent for all the innocents she probably killed and the second is for the cowl of Gray fox. The one true thing that could hide her from the brotherhood forever. She trained over the next few year and quickly climbed the ranks of the thieves guild. Once she became a master assassin she realized her dream is one step away. And once she got it she could live in peace once more.
